This is a sturdy notebook with LOTS of pages for meeting notes. Would have been nice to have had a greater variety of types of pages. For example a planning calendar or page for contacts at the end.

As the educator for Pre Op and Post Op at a metro hospital, I bought this for my new nurses to get a good sense of what they got into! They really appreciated the quick and easy read! My "seasoned" nursed liked reading it too!

The visuals are very helpful. My main interest is post op, and I would have liked more info re that area.

This is a very friendly looking & friendly reading book. It provides easy to comprehend, basic information about a variety of fundamentals in the operating room. There is no information about surgical instruments. That's OK, as other reference books are available for that. It provides concise chapters on assessment of the surgical patient, anesthesia, sterility, post anesthesia care, etc.

Made Incredibly Visual books are my absolute fav! Who doesn't love cute cartoons to help memorize important facts? Nobody that's who! Surgical Care is my latest addition and it doesn't disappoint.

The essential message of BhagavadGita according to Sri Aurobindo is the evolutionary philosophy. His principle work, Life Divine differed from the traditional teachings of Hinduism. His message was that liberation from the cycle of life & death is not the essence of creative power, but it is through the operation of physical laws that govern matter and energy in spacetime. He asserts that the creation of advanced living beings is the work of super-mind that would create values such as love, harmony, unity and knowledge to find the divine truth. The Brahman described in Vedanta philosophy of BhagavadGita and Upanishads is that He has no attributes, but It is an entity that encompasses omniscience (infinite knowledge), omnipotence (unlimited power), omnipresence (present everywhere), Omni benevolence (perfect goodness), immutable, divine simplicity, and eternal existence. His qualities are personal and impersonal. Brahman is thought to exist in space-less and timeless dimensions in an unchanging reality amidst and beyond the realm of a universe. He is the Pure Consciousness, the Supreme Lord who can transcend all possible laws of physics, all dimensions and all physical realities in the multiverse. Aurobindo suggested that the physical reality we observe, and experience is manifested as empirical reality through His līlā, or Divine Play. He did not believe that physical reality is an illusion (Maya) as Vedanta philosophy proposed but argued that world with new advanced species understand reality. He reasoned that the evolutionary theory described the process but does not explain the wisdom of creating life. According to him, our existence is a manifestation of Brahman, which imbibed life into matter, and then into mind and consciousness. Thus, all existence and the evolutionary process is due to the power of the Pure Consciousness. This is a spiritual evolution which Aurobindo understood through the practice of yoga, meditation and wisdom of yoga philosophy.In BhagavadGita, Lord Krishna makes a distinction between Samkhya and Yoga. In addition, His teachings also focus on Vedanta philosophy that is highly colored by the wisdom of the former two philosophical systems. According to Aurobindo, Samkhya and Yoga, taught in Gita are not two different philosophical systems but differ only in their methods and starting points. Samkhya is dualistic, but it is not the same as relative dualism, referred to as Dvaita Vedanta. Samkhya claims absolute duality, and the existence is attributed to two different principles interacting in the fundamentals of creation. The Purusha, the pure consciousness is immutable, immortal and self-luminous, and Prakriti is matter and energy that confers physical reality. Pure consciousness, the Purusha is beyond the boundaries of mater, energy and spacetime, that is It is beyond the realm of physics. But all the sufferings, the cycle of birth & death, ignorance, action and inaction, happiness, joy and sorrow are due to Prakriti, says Sri Aurobindo.This book is very well written and reads flawlessly. Readers interested in Aurobindo’s interpretation of Gita find this work interesting. I did not take time compare Aurobindo’s English translation with other works but found some of his translations illuminating.

I've read and studied several interpretations of the Gita, and this is by far the most profound of all. Aurobindo's translation is clear and readable. What makes this book invaluable is his commentary which describes the heights to which the human soul can soar, and opens vistas to the reader which defy all description. It is best to take your time with this book. Read it with your heart. Listen with your soul. And when you have finished, start over and read it again. It is a rare opportunity to be able to explore such heights. Aurobindo makes that possible in a way that only he can.

One of the best translations and commentaries on the Geeta I have ever read. It's not an easy breezy read. And rightly so, because the concepts dealt with are no easy and simple ones. The writing delves deep into the complexity of the subject and extracts such deep insights. Enlightened book.

Very good product

This is a great book. A very unbiased and clear elucidation suitable for anyone interested in understanding the great work that is Bhagavad gita. I was in search of a translation that was as original as possible to the real text with any additional commentary-which inevitably is colored by the author's viewpoints- clearly demarcated. In this case even the commentaries were very objective, free of any kind of propaganda, unlike many other translations.

This version compared to Sri Aurobindo's 'essays on Gita' from which this is derived is the one i was looking for since long. I like the verse and meaning style with huge footnotes. The footnotes are from Sri Aurobindo's abridged essays and individual verse in sanskrit and its meaning make it open to understanding from the source for those who love Sanskrit.Truly a great work for the nation of Bharat and the world.

I have several commentaries on the Bhagavad Gita, all of which offer fresh perspectives. I have always found Aurobindo's writings to be insightful and this commentary is no different.

He can sit and play/look at/flip the flaps on this book for a LOOOONG time before he gets bored--exactly as with the Our Animal Friends version we started with and the Let's Get Moving! version we got from Amazon Vine. His has his favorite pages and flaps, and still loves to find the frog on each page! I love it because it's a fairly heavy-duty board book that takes his daily abuse of folding and closing the book in inappropriate spots. The flaps are also pretty heavy duty and he hasn't ripped any of them out to date (in any of his books) compared to pop-up books or other books with moving pieces that get ripped apart easily.I HIGHLY recommend this book (and all in the series) for your toddler.

This is my toddler's favorite nighttime story book right now-ever since I ordered it. She loves lifting the flaps. Helps with memorizing what's under each flap, shapes, colors, and numbers. Each page has a different learning situation. The first page has the names of baby animals. Next is counting, after that is colors, and then shapes. At the last page, it shows animal noises, so we take turns either saying the noise first or the animal, and lifting the flap to confirm which animal is underneath. I also like that the last page ends with the animals going to sleep, so its perfect for bedtime reading!

Bought for my 18 month old. She loves it. Opens the flaps and she makes the animal noises and learned the names and sounds. Now (at 2 yr old ) she still looks at the book and now does the advanced stuff like shapes and item names and colors. Still enjoys opening and closing each flap to check what's underneath. The book is still in 1 piece after much use. No flaps ripped. No missing pages or items. Endured lots of use. She turns the flaps. Turns the pages. Picks out animals and makes sounds. Great fun and learning.

My 2 1/2 year old loves this book. It's quite large but lightweight. It teaches colors, animals and shapes. He loves opening the windows and guessing what's behind them. My only complaint is that the pages aren't the sturdiest so you can leave windows open in the previous page and have them smashed when turning. Adults can be mindful of it but a toddler? Not likely. He obviously doesn't bother my son but I wish it was a little more durable. For the price you can't beat it and it really helps them recognize shapes and colors in everyday objects.

My year and a half year old is obsessed with this book. OBSESSED. No idea what it is about lifting the flaps but she will bring me this book over and over and over again to read this to her. She'll lift a few flaps and crack herself up. She knows where to find the rainbow, the purple grapes, she now makes oinking sounds for the pigs...she loves this book. I'm going to have to buy her more lift the flaps! :)

My baby loves this type of book. He will go pick them up from his book basket and sit and flip through them several times a day. He has been very into flap books since he could manipulate the flaps and pages. They have remained his favorite from about 7 months- till now at 15 months. We bring them on the plane with us because they hold his attention well. We have about 4 of this style of flap book now and I am sure our collection will continue to grow.

My boys are 18 months old. They LOVE this book and want to read it for long periods of time. One can certainly read it for long periods of times because the number of flaps are endless. On the other hand, I get really bored with this book because it basically serves as an advertisement for Fisher Price Little People toys, it is not exactly an example of beautiful graphics nor is there any sort of story or point. And there are so many beautiful, high quality children's books that we could be reading instead! But, if your kids are at the stage of reading where you point and label and lift flaps, then this may be a popular & useful book. Just beware, you will probably get really bored long before your kid does. It also is made out of a more flimsy materials than most of our "flap" books, so it's not super durable. But it's not meant to be a classic that you pass along between generations. And I certainly do plan to take it on an upcoming airplane trip as it will provide solid entertainment. So perfect for travel!

This is an excellent book that keeps my toddler entertained for long periods of time. The pages are sturdy and the flaps don't tear easy as they do in some lift the flap books. The pictures are bright and accurate. The characters and animals in this book match the actual plastic Little People Figurines that my son plays with. That makes this book seem even more realistic for him.

SIR JONATHAN BATE is Professor of Shakespeare and Renaissance Literature, University of Warwick, UK. He has held visiting posts at Harvard, Yale and UCLA and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, a Fellow of the British Academy, an Honorary Fellow of St Catherine's College, Cambridge, and a Governor and Board member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. A prominent critic, award-winning biographer and broadcaster, he is the author of several books on Shakespeare, including The Genius of Shakespeare (Picador), which was praised by Sir Peter Hall, founder of the RSC, as "the best modern book on Shakespeare." I have an old copy of the Complete Works...which I used in college (undergrad degree in theatre arts), but it is falling apart. So, I bought this one. Wow. Really nice! The typeface is really easy to read, and the character names are spelled out thoughout, which is quite helpful. Also, there are alternate scenes that the RSC includes that are included in this volume. I'm very pleased to replace my old copy with this one. The only thing missing from this copy (that my old copy had) is a family tree of the English Kings involved in the History Plays. Since I'm an American who hasn't studied English History, I found this very helpful and really missed it in the RSC volume. I highly recommend this volume anyway.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's exceptional Complete Works editionI find this paperback Complete Works from Macmillan and the Royal Shakespeare Company a wonderful purchase. Having this much material in one book has it drawbacks. At 2550 pages, it's a hefty paperback volume. Though I have no trouble reading the print, the thin pages are not completely opaque particularly when there are large or bold fonts on the verso. No page tears so far.Material concerns aside, the content is exceptional. The Royal Shakespeare Company justifiably has enormous pride in this "fresh and definitive Complete Works for the twenty-first century." Every play has a brief but high quality introduction. The fifty page general Introduction could stand alone as a successful monograph. The goal was to present the First Folio to modern readers using the latest editorial and research techniques. Editors Jonathan Bate and Eric Rasmussen gave us an award winning effort.The page footnotes are adequate without going overboard.

This is a true comprehensive collection with everything ever published by Shakespeare, so of course it has his lesser-know works, which is great. It has his sonnets and poems, which are beautiful. I spend a lot of time reading the things I'd never read before, and going back through the plays I'm familiar with to pick up things I'd never noticed before. There are so many layers to Shakespeare's writing, and now that I'm older and wiser, I find things my young self wasn't mature enough to pick up on.The book is bound strongly, the font is easy to read, and it got to me in perfect condition. I highly recommend this version. In my opinion, everyone should have a Shakespeare anthology in their book collection.

This was a present for my grandson who is a drama student at university, and he really loves it, would not be without it.

Great edition of the Complete Works of Shakespeare.

As others mentioned, strangely thin pages, but bought anyway, NIce book otherwise.

A lot of though went into this edition.Each play has an insightful introduction that explains what sources the text comes from.Every page has footnotes that define difficult words.The text marks "running scenes", when the setting remains the same between two consecutive scenes. This helps to understand the pace of the plays.Of course, there are 2500 pages so the paper is very thin and the font is on the small side.

Can't say more than other reviewers, but I will add the quality, binding, etc. is top-knotch.Very glad I got this. It would take months of reading to really go cover-to-cover. And thatwould be a sublime pleasure!
