About the Author
"Susan Branch was born in Southern California but calls her 1849 home on the Massachusetts island of Martha's Vineyard her heart magnet because she was drawn to New England from childhood and loved it before she laid eyes on it. She finally moved there in her early 30's, no longer able to live without four seasons and white picket fences as everyday architecture. She is the oldest of eight children and inspired by almost everything. Her hand-lettered and watercolored Heart of the Home series of books are a reflection of the things she loves to celebrate, the home-arts of cooking, gardening, homemaking, family, best friends, entertaining, and the little things that make life sweet. Her newest book, A FINE ROMANCE ~ Falling in Love with the English Countryside, is a diary of her two-month jaunt through the back roads of England in search of her literary and artistic roots. I have been ordering this calendar for years for my office desk - LOVE them - they make my desk look not so clinical, more warm and relaxed. This year the seller folded it into a box that was to small and sent it. Why would someone fold a desk calendar in the first place. I tried to lay it out flat with something heavy hoping it would lay flat - it did help, however, when I went to get it to put it on my desk the card board backing is not attached. :( I'm thinking I can't send it back since I have taken it out of the cellophane paper and I tried to reattach the backing. Be sure when ordering you specify for it not to be folded - which I would think would be common sense.
Another beautiful calendar by Susan Branch, however, it does not have any corners to hold the pages down. When I first started ordering this desk calendar, there were two clear, plastic triangles to tuck the bottom of the pages in. Now, there’s nothing. If you use this on a desk, like it’s intended, the bottom edge will get a little grungy. I have to use small binder clips to keep things neat, and that takes away from the beauty and charm of the design.
I love the artwork on this blotter and am thrilled it is a nice large size. Most are so small and so dull.There is enough space to add your own artwork on each day of the month as well as listing your activities. I have one on my desk in the craft room and one in the office. :) It's great on my huge Vintage Teacher's desk, actually from a school...a perfect style that fits my style!
I bought this for the second year in a row because my Mother loves the calendar. I will continue to see her eyes light up when I give this in the upcoming years. Thank you for the quick send and the nice quality.

This is the third or fourth year I bought one of these for my home desk. I just love these, they are so bright and happy and just the right size.
This is my 3rd year to use this calendar! I love its design, colors, themes, space and note section! I will continue to get this calendar every year!!!
I do wish this had magnets on the back and corner keepers. But it is really pretty and colorful.
